So my game is finally out! Viking Squad is an old-school arcade throw back brawler with a lane based approach to combat. It was built by a core group of 3 people from Vancouver Canada, Nick "The Windmill" Waanders, Caley "The Ukraine Brain" Charchuk, and Me the Drawbarian! Sound done by the incredible folks at Power Up Audio, and music done by A Shell in the Pit!
It's out on steam and ps4 right now! It'd mean a lot to me if you guys checked it out here. I built up confidence in my style for my art right here on Deviant art so it feels good to finish and still be posting stuff here for everybody!

thanks again guys!

I was always very curious, who would come out first, Viking Squad or Pit People. Looks like you guys were faster : D
It will take some time until I finish the game with my bro (since we have very limited gaming time) but I already can't wait to see what you prepared for us!
haha and idk about "faster" those guys are super quick! thanks so much for the comment man, great hearing from you again!
Only thing stopping me from playing now is that I'm drowning in college work, but once I'm through this tough last few months I'll DEFINITELY play this. And I will enjoy every moment of it and all the care that went into it.
well happy birthday to you! And yeah I did read your very kind words from earlier! really glad that you like the dev-streams! best of luck in your college work. And it's a shame the time difference is so crazy because it'd be cool if you could stop by the stream!
Thanks for all the support!
The Barbarian K-ink lol
Saw the game today, i'll check it out
It's probably not the place to ask these questions, but 1. why is it only 3 players? 2. will there be any changes to the game based in player feedback?
The reason I ask is that its impossible to move the bonus items (statue, etc) if you're playing by yourself when you get to the pitfalls. It added a great bit of the game when me and a buddy were throwing the items between each other to get across (falling in many...many times ), and I wouldn't change that. However, if playing by yourself, you kind of feel cheated that you cant get that item across so maybe be able to throw further when playing by yourself?
Anyway I had fun, very impressed with it.
1. it's 3 players because there is only 3 of us in the office! haha j/k actually 3 players gets pretty chaotic, adding in another character would really make it crazy and hard to visualize. Also classic arcade games like golden axe were only 3 players as well so we liked the number.
2. yep! we already did a tuning patch ad we'd love to add more weapons and armor and stuff, the game just has to do well enough that we can keep working on it!
and thanks so much for the support! Small teams like us have a real problem with visibility because we are too busy working on the game, so people like you really help us out! Thanks so much!
